This Thursday, the death of Neftalí Álvarez Núñez, better known as Pacho ‘El Antifeka’, was confirmed. The 42-year-old singer lost his life in the municipality of Bayamón located in Puerto Rico.

Local authorities found the lifeless body of the interpreter inside a vehicle parked in the Plaza Tropical center. According to a report from the Bayamón Homicide Division, “El Antifeka” had several gunshot wounds.

Although the reasons behind his death are unknown, the musician had a criminal record for violating the Weapons Law. A couple of months ago, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided his home to conduct a search.

Who was Pacho ‘El Antifeka’?

Neftalí Álvarez Núñez was born in Puerto Rico in 1981 and from a young age he was interested in the world of reggaeton. His professional career began in the duo Pacho & Cirilio from 2013 until his departure in 2015.

After his participation in that musical group, in 2019 the Puerto Rican released a single “They have no rifle” together with the musician Cano “El Bárbaro”, who was also shot to death in December 2021.

In 2021, Pacho El Antifeka’ released his first solo album called All Star Game, translated into Spanish as Más duro que ayer, which contains singles such as ‘Sad’, ‘Tu Recuerdo’, ‘Amores Vienen y Van’, among others.

That musical compendium has the participation of other exponents of reggaeton such as Rauw Alejandro, Nicky Jam, Arcángel, Wisin & Yandel, among others. In an interview with EFE, the musician assured that he “put in” all his heart to show his most “professional” facet.
