Over 60 healthcare workers who will graduate in December 2022 were recognized by Indiana University Kokomo School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions (SNAHP) on Thursday, December 15 at the Havens Auditorium at a customary recognition and fixation ceremony.
Along with 41 traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates, 10 sophomores, and four RN to BSN grads, seven MSN graduates were also honored.
The honorees were congratulated by Dean Susan Hendricks, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Christina Downey, and Associate Dean for Pre-Licensure Track Carolyn Townsend.
The faculty were happy to have them as coworkers, Clinical Liaison April Mouser said, and whether they were local or far away, their knowledge and abilities were developing into lifetime jobs.
Mouser continued, “Nursing is about affecting lives, and by the way, your life touches your life. “I sincerely hope you discover the aspect of nursing that ignites your soul’s passion. I hope you never lose your love for nursing, your desire to help others, or your commitment to nursing excellence.
MSN graduates take part in a veil ceremony to commemorate their advanced degree, whereas BSN graduates are presented with a lapel badge.
